1. Data Collection & Storage

All data generated by the Spaced Repetition extension—including tasks, flashcards, habits, and settings—is saved entirely on your local machine using the native chrome.storage.local API. Your data never leaves your browser and is never sent to any external server.

2. Chrome Permissions Justification

To provide its core functionality, this extension requires the following permissions. Here is exactly how they are used:

• storage Used exclusively to save your tasks, flashcard intervals, and settings locally on your device so they persist when you close the browser.
• tabs Used to open the full-page dashboard (Statistics and Habits) in a new browser tab for a better viewing experience.
• alarms & notifications Used to run the Pomodoro timer in the background and notify you when a work or break session is complete.
• declarativeNetRequest (host permissions) Required exclusively for the "Focus Mode" feature. It allows the extension to block distracting websites locally on your machine during active work sessions. We do not monitor your browsing history.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics (like Google Analytics), tracking scripts, or crash reporting tools. Your usage of the extension is completely private.

4. Data Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's extension data. We have no way to access or recover your data if you delete it.

5. Changes to this Policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Because we collect no contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
